ATTENDANCE AT EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETINGS POLICY
NCSA welcomes the general public to attend meetings. Meeting dates will be posted on the website for the general public interested in attending. Members of the general public may request to be added to the agenda by sending the request via the website and include a brief summary of the presentation request. Requests are to be submitted 2 weeks prior to the meeting. Your request will be confirmed by e-mail indicating if accepted or declined.
- NCSA meetings are open to the public except for matters which may be deemed to be confidential, as provided in Board by-laws and policies. Confidential matters are addressed by the NCSA Board in closed session to protect the confidentiality and safety of those involved in such matters.
- Guests (i.e. non-Board members) are welcome to attend Open Session segments of NCSA meetings, as noted on the agenda. Guests will exit the meeting immediately upon completion of the Open Session of the meeting or at the request of the Chair.
- Guests attending NCSA board meetings do not have speaking privileges unless they have been advised of such privileges in advance of the meeting (e.g. invited presenters, completed request to present) or, at the meeting in response to due process, provided with speaking privileges.
- Interference with the progress of a meeting by a Guest will not be permitted and any Guest who attempts to impede the business of the meeting will be instructed by the meeting Chair to leave. In such circumstances, the Guest will exit the meeting immediately.
