Learn-to-Play Softball
2026 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
Do you want your child to have FUN and be ACTIVE this spring and summer? Get involved in Learn-to-Play Softball! It is a fun, action-packed introduction to the game of softball intended for all genders between the ages of 4 and 7 years old (Born 2019-2021 for the 2026 Season).
Although we won’t be playing the traditional version of softball, we will be participating in a variety of activities and lead-up ‘games’ that will give your child more opportunities to touch the ball and develop the necessary basic skills to enjoy the game. The activities are fun and short in duration and will prepare your child for more advanced competition later in life.
The Learn-to-Play program will run weekly on either Sunday afternoons pm 3:00-4:30 or Monday evenings at 6:00-7:30 pm. (You choose your preferred day during registration.) Your child will enjoy an environment where they have 60 minutes of core skill-building followed by a 30-minute modified mini-game to allow for exposure to both skills and team play. The 7 weekly sessions will run from May 4 to June 16, 2025.
The diamond location for each team will be determined after registration closes. The teams are made based on players' friend requests and neighbourhoods.
A fun-filled season-ending tournament is scheduled for June 13, 2065.
The cost of the 8-week program is $120. All players need for each practice is a glove, a pair of sturdy runners/cleats, and a water bottle. Everything else is provided by Nose Creek Softball.
Your child will learn the following:
- Proper throwing technique
- Catching
- Hitting
- Base Running
- Basic Softball Rules
- Teamwork
- Sportsmanship
- Having FUN

Refund Policy:
Any withdrawals after payment is received will be refunded at 75% of the total fee paid. No refunds will be provided after the first session.
